Comedy Ladder @ The Old Courthouse Apr 25

Your opening act for the evening is the fantastic Ciaran Franco (Show me the Funny finalist, BBC New Comedy Awards, BBC Sounds, Lavery’s Comedy Club, The Empire). Known for his off the cuff, bumbling observational style, he has supported Chris Kent, Paddy Raff and Peter McGann. Ciaran did a joint show “Speakeasy” in the Sunflower in August 2022 selling back to back sold out shows before taking on the road to Newry. Following on from this Ciaran performed his first sold out solo show “Mooncat”. Ciaran has appeared on the BBC New Comedy Awards twice, reaching the semi-finals in 2024.

One of the freshest and funniest new talents on the scene – definitely one to watch.

To say William Thompson is a rising star in the comedy world would be an understatement. He has gone from strength to strength and he has become more than well known for his sharp wit, relatable humour, and engaging stage presence. William has quickly made a name for himself on the comedy circuit with his unique perspective and ability to find humour in everyday situations. He blends personal anecdotes with observational humour, themes of identity, culture and the absurdities of modern life.

William’s talent has earned him spots at prestigious comedy festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Mudblood, and more. William has recently been performing his one man show “Scumbag Millionaire”, catch him in Antrim while you can….
